The only Scottish venue in the BTCC calendar Knockhill has been dropped from the 2003 calendar. The place has been filled by the new modern Rockingham circuit.

Knockhill's place in the BTCC calendar has been a main topic with the main men at TOCA since a provisional calendar was released in October. The calendar did not feature the Scottish cicuit and the Yorkshire circuit Croft. instead leaving two blank slots. As expected Rockingham filled one of those slots, the circuit provides great new opportunities for the series. Knockhill has hosted rounds in the championship since 1992 and is the only circuit that has brought the series to Scotland. The circuit has also found out that it has lost its rounds of the British Superbike championship which means that Knockhills future is defiantly going downhill.
